Our volunteer team is the backbone of this valuable work.
Volunteers contribute their time, skills and enthusiasm in every part of the Brotherhood's operations and programs.
Almost 1500 volunteers participate in our retail stores, online bookstore, Breakfast and Homework Clubs, training and socialisation programs.
Within our employment program Given the Chance, volunteers work in a range of capacities - business coaching and mentoring, specialist skills training, English language and numeracy training, customer service, administration and communication.
Sharing your time, talents and networks can make a positive difference to the lives of vulnerable Australians, and also give you a great sense of satisfaction.
We have volunteering opportunities for which you don’t need qualifications, and others which require more specialised skills. Let us know the areas you are most passionate about and the talents you’d like to share. We’re committed to matching your interests with our activities.
If you don't find a position with Given the Chance that suits you, please look at other opportunities with the Brotherhood of St Laurence such as with our Training Services Department.
