Traineeships and apprenticeships

Traineeships are a perfect way to combine workplace experience with a qualification, to increase long-term employability. Australian apprenticeships offer opportunities for anyone of working age to train, study and simultaneously earn an income in a wide range of occupations and trades.

Traineeships are available in more than 500 occupations at all certificate levels up to advanced diploma. They provide nationally recognised quality training developed by industry, for industry. Whether you’re looking for your first job, seeking a career change, or re-entering the workforce after long-term unemployment, traineeships are a great option for anyone wanting to build skills and qualifications.

Through the traineeship program, our Group Training Organisation (GTO) directly employs trainees and apprentices and places them with host employers, including the Brotherhood, across a range of industries.
